As you might remember from a post last year, my good friend (and awesome guest) Jonathon Tomares and I seem to have an ongoing wager on the season series between his beloved Washington Capitols and my Toronto Maple Leafs . Well……. although I won the inaugural bet, I (Leaf Nation) wasn’t so lucky last year, as the Capitols came out the winner. As part of the bet, and as you can see below, I spent the entire day wearing this really weird red jersey around The Lodge at Little Duck. What made matters worse was the over abundance of guests from the DC area that provided a constant reminder of who the winner was. Oh well, as the saying goes, and one certainly familiar to a Leaf fan over the years, “there’s always next year”
